Frequently Asked Questions...

Do I get the files?

Yes. All shoots include your edited files at a quality that is ready for printing. These are not watermarked.

Why would I want to do an engagement session?

Engagement sessions are great for us getting to know each other and for you to be able to start feeling comfortable in front of my camera, before your big day. Plus, you get some lovely photos of a special time in your life.

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Is that even a question? Absolutely! One of the greatest loves in my life, besides my family, is travelling. I am more than happy to do a destination wedding, be that within NSW, another state in Australia or even overseas. Get in touch and we can discuss the details.

Will there be a second shooter at my wedding?

Only if you request one and pay extra to have a second shooter there (I do have to pay them after all). Depending on the wedding, I may have an assistant with me, but that person is generally not a photographer and is simply there to help me (and you!) when needed.

Do you have insurance?

Absolutely! I am covered by comprehensive gear insurance as well as Public Liability Insurance, so you have nothing to worry about.

What kind of gear do you use?

I only shoot with professional grade gear. I use Canon for all my cameras, lenses and speedlites and Profoto gear for any bigger lighting needs. I also carry lots of other gear that may be needed on any given day, depending on the circumstances, including some smoke incase you want one of my classic night photos! ;-)

Do I have to order prints through you?

No. Absolutely not. Although I thoroughly recommend getting them through me as I get them done at professional labs, you are more than welcome to get your own prints done at whatever consumer places you are happy with. There are certainly benefits (except for the cost) to getting them done at a pro lab and I can discuss these with you if you are interested.

Do you shoot anything other than weddings, family sessions and engagement sessions?

Over the last 10 years, I have pretty much shot everything including things not listed on my site anymore like newborns, school formals, headshots, commercial work, etc. While I tend to concentrate nowadays on the three types in your question, I have been known to make exceptions every now and then. It doesn't hurt to ask me.
